@fabsh haha more like getting a good feeling about buying a product that designed well both physically and logically. As far as I can tell, no other OS gives a more streamline experience and is better integrated with its hardware. On a daily basis, aside from Mac OSX, I also use Yellow Dog Linux and Ubuntu. Both operating systems are phenomenal and work great, but still cannot hold a candle to the GUI that is Mac OSX. So if having a stable operating system experience along side a streamline GUI requires paying a premium, then I see that as a just price.

I couldn't agree more with fabsh. Apple will never go open source. Let me remind everyone that Apple's success has been due to Steve Jobs' tedious micromanagement of that company. From what the Mac Specialist shirts look like to the style of wood used for Genius Bar, it's all decided by him. The closest Apple will ever get to open source is the release of their SDKs. And honestly, I'm glad of it.
